Services for clusters will be provided at the Innovation Agency

Starting August 1st The project “Innovation Network Promotion and Development (InoLink)” coordinated by the Science, Innovation and Technology Agency (MITA) and implemented together with the Lithuanian Innovation Center (LIC) is transferred to the Innovation Agency. This means that the range of services provided by the Innovation Agency will include consultations and activities dedicated to clusters, their growth and international development.

New project manager

The InoLink project will also have a new project manager. Jolita Razumienė, who has managed the project until now, will be replaced by a long-time member of the InoLink team, Pranas Senapėdis, who has been advising clusters since the beginning of the project and held the position of cluster development coordinator.

“For 6 years InoLink project has contributed to the popularization of the cluster model and its advantages in Lithuania. I have closely observed the progress of cooperation quality between cluster members, which became particularly evident when the difficulties of the pandemic hit. Lithuanian clusters have become visible in the international community and are setting increasingly higher goals for themselves. The potential of clusters to create innovations, added value, and accelarate twin transformation is the greatest motivation to continue the implementation of InoLink’s mission,” says P. Senapėdis.

InoLink and activities

The InoLink project, coordinated by the Innovation Agency and implemented together with its partner LIC, encourages companies to join clusters, increases the maturity of clusters, promotes their growth and international cooperation.

In order to achieve the goal of the project, about 30 Lithuanian clusters have been selected. They have access to strategy sessions, informational and B2B events, expert consultations on cluster development and growth issues. They also receive local and international partner matchmaking services, support in attracting new international members, getting funding for their projects, etc.

Within the framework of the project, three Lithuanian clusterization studies were also carried out, a map of Lithuanian clusters was created, information and consultations were provided on issues of international certification of clusters, a specialized website dedicated to clusters, klaster.lt was launched.  The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
